Backup your website!
Recently, we received a call from a prospective customer who “lost” their website. After careful examination, it turned out that all of the files on her website were deleted without a trace as to where they went. A frightening experience for everyone especially since the website was an ecommerce site and without it, sales were ZERO!
After some careful checking, the last resort was to contact their hosting company and request a restore of the website which cost $150 plus the site was down for 7 days. Ultimately, it cost them thousands in lost revenue and didn’t help the confidence level of their patrons who visited the website.
You can avoid this headache and by making a regular backup of your website. If you have a blog or an ecommerce site, you should also make regular backups of your database.
Of course, you could also sign up for our website maintenance service and we’ll make these backups for you – and restore them for free in the event of a disaster.
