Don’t neglect your website
Today, I received an email from Joe at rcwsupply.com. He wanted some links added to their website. Easy – right?
Once I downloaded their website pages, I quickly realized that they were cluttered with dated HTML code. It appears that the last person who updated the site loaded it into an editing program that added hundreds of lines of unnecessary code. What would have been a 15 minute task, quickly turned into 2 hours of cleanup and a re-work of the site navigation, just so the links could be added.
To boot, I found some strange links embedded on their home page that had me concerned about the security of the website itself.
Its important that you have a professional look over your website at least once a year to make sure that everything is up to date. It also helps with your search engine rank to keep the content on your website fresh.
